2022 Recap: Focus On What You Can Control

It is good to have a plan because plans never change, right?  Unfortunately, we all know too well how variables outside our control often impact our lives.  Who could have predicted the events of 2022? Russia invading Ukraine, stock and bond markets both being down, high inflation, rising interest rates, fraud and collapse of FTX and contagion to other crypto currencies; all these events are outside our control.  Media selling headlines through fear and uncertainty is a given.  However, shifting our focus to areas we can control makes fear and uncertainty lose their grip allowing us to press forward confidently.  This is seen in the growth of $1 invested in a diversified stock portfolio to $80 from 1970-2020.  Perhaps more of your wealth is in your control than you realize.  Rather & Kittrell is here to help.
