Rather & Kittrell is seeking an individual that can utilize their expertise to identify leads, narrow prospects and generate proposals for wealth management and financial planning clients. You will use your industry expertise to present potential clients with different services that include wealth management, financial planning, brokerage, insurance services and asset management.

The ideal candidate will have achieved a Bachelors Degree in Finance or a related field. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience performing wealth management and financial planning services. A current CFP and/or CPA designation is preferred. The candidate must have superior client service skills. Prior experience in public speaking is a plus.

Associate Financial Advisor

What we are offering:

This position is a support role focused on assisting lead advisors in planning and delivering proactive recommendations to our current and future clients.
The Associate Advisor will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial plans, taking an active role in client meetings, and executing our wealth management process.

Position Summary: This is a challenging position that requires you to work closely with the financial advisors and operations team members to provide day to day financial planning support to clients and prospects.

What you will get to do:

  • Work alongside lead advisors in client meetings to deliver advice and build relationships
  • Operate financial planning and performance reporting software; Moneyguide Pro & Black Diamond
  • Create and maintain financial plans in Moneyguide Pro and assist in planning presentations
  • Comprehensive financial planning to include income tax mitigation and cash flow planning, estate distribution and trust planning, insurance analysis, charitable planning, and investment management.
  • Initiate applicable workflows in CRM software
  • Implement action items resulting from meetings
  • Work closely with Client Care Coordinator for review of client account paperwork and custodian related service activities
  • Contribute content to our newsletter and client communications

What you will learn:

  • How we approach financial planning and investment management and provide fiduciary service to our clients
  • How to use Moneyguide Pro and Black Diamond to produce financial reports
  • How to assess a client situation, develop preliminary recommendations, and deliver them to high net worth clientele
  • How to ask the right questions, at the right time, and listen when appropriate

What we seek in a candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Financial Planning
  • 3-5 years of financial industry experience. CFP®, CPA, or EA or other relevant designations preferred
  • Proficient in financial planning software (Moneyguide Pro preferred)
  • Demonstrate above-average oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate above- average organizational skills and the ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously and to prioritize those functions to meet the clients’ needs
  • Someone who is detail oriented but understands that you will have to make assumptions at times in order to move on and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills. Should hate rote memorization, regurgitation, and being spoon fed
  • Work in our Knoxville, TN office

Client Service Specialist

Responsible for prioritizing projects to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

Will often need to conceptualize and develop high-quality, creative and professional-looking client deliverables. Provide administrative support to multiple assigned financial advisors, often handling details of a confidential nature.

Duties:

  • Position will be comprised of general daily tasks as well as more specialized responsibilities
  • Process paperwork and keep detailed, well-organized records pertaining to opening and closing accounts
  • Ensure that the firm’s applicable Compliance documents are in order
  • Operate computers and other office equipment as needed and handle correspondence with customers
  • Responsible for tracking workflow, ensuring that jobs are completed in required time frames to client specifications
  • Keep log and updates regarding various tasks, and ensure projects are completed to company standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years experience related to supporting multiple people preferably in the financial planning or brokerage industry
  • Must have the ability to understand and convey financial planning business concepts through effective written and verbal communication
  • Must display exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to take little direction and progress towards solutions desired by internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.• Change-adept, proactive, quick learner, and consistently improvement-minded.• Resourceful self-starter; pressure-durable, detail-oriented and quality-driven
  • Should demonstrate a clear aptitude for quantitative analysis and be comfortable with multitasking when necessary
  • Able to master brokerage and financial planning office procedures easily.
  • Ability to monitor, manage and execute on a variety of tasks and efforts at different stages of priority and execution; handles large request queue.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
