Introduction to Amanda Howerton

I’ve worked with a lot of women, and I’m not sure if it’s just easier to sit down and talk to another woman, knowing that we’ve had some similar experiences, especially now that I’m a mother.

But I have found that it’s great being able to sit down, listen to what they want to do, hear their stories, and maybe in the past they’ve never had another female that they could sit down and talk to about their finances. I met my husband in Atlanta. We actually still own a house in Georgia. We lost about 30% of the value of our house.

We eventually were able to move, due to some kind of diligent planning and really making some sacrifices here and there. So my passion here at Rather and control and working with my clients comes from knowing that with a good plan, we actually can do what we want to do. You know, we’re not subject to the forces of, oh, I was in the right place at the right time, or I did all the right things, but I’m really getting hit with unfortunate circumstances. My goal, my passion, is to make sure our clients can pursue their goals and continue to achieve their goals, even if they have those unfortunate things happen to ’em.
