So we get asked the question sometimes, how do I know when to go all in or all outta the market so I can best time my investments?
The truth is nobody can predict the future. Most of the time, when those calls are made to either go all in or all out of the market are times when emotions are really high. Pretty much all the research shows us that’s the worst time to make a decision.
The secret is to have a financial plan that is going to weather anything that the market will give us. Make sure you’re not taking too much risk. Make sure your financial plan is predetermined, systematic, and unemotional. So when those scary things happen, you’re prepared, and you don’t have to make those bold calls.
